10 DAY UPSET PERIOD-Court Ordered Real Estate Auction- Richmond County, NC

10 Day Upset Period in effect after the auction ends.

The sale will remain open for 10 days for upset bids as required by law. Each report of sale field with the court shall be subject to a separate upset bid which must be placed on the same combinations of parcels sold and identified in the field report of sale. Following the expiration of the upset bid period, a sale must be confirmed by order of the court. An order. confirming a sale becomes final and effective 15 days after entry of the of the order of confirmation or when the Clerk denies a petition for revocation, whichever occurs first.

Ten Percent (10%) of the final contract purchase price is required as non-refundable earnest money in the form of a certified check, cash or wire transfer. The earnest money deposit is due at the close of auction, with the balance of the contract purchase price due at closing, which shall be in five-days or upon delivery of the deed, whichever is sooner.
